Integrated optimal control for multi-lane motorway networksIntegrated optimal control for multi-lane motorway networks Πλήρης Δημοσίευση σε Συνέδριο Conference Full Paper 2024-05-292023enThis paper presents a Quadratic Programming (QP) problem formulation, employing a modified multi-lane version of the well-known macroscopic Cell Transmission Model (CTM), to determine integrated optimal control actions for motorway networks. These include mainstream traffic flow control (MTFC), lane change control (LCC), ramp metering control (RM) and dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) actions to be applied by Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs). An algorithm based on the barrier method provides a fast solution of the convex QP problem.
