Η θρεπτική και γενικότερα η διατροφική αξία του ελαιολάδου είναι μεγάλη, όπως έχει αποδειχθεί, με αποτέλεσμα η ζήτηση του να αυξάνεται συνεχώς. Όμως όσον αφορά το τομέα της τυποποίησης και εμφιάλωσης, οι ελληνικές εταιρίες βρίσκονται σε χαμηλό επίπεδο παραγωγικότητας.
Στη συγκεκριμένη εργασία παρουσιάζεται ένα σύστημα μοντελοποίησης και προγραμματισμού παραγωγής. Αρχικά, λαμβάνοντας υπόψιν τις νέες τεχνολογίες, οι οποίες έχουν εμφανιστεί τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες στο βιομηχανικό κόσμο και ειδικότερα στο τομέα των τροφίμων, δημιουργήθηκε η ανάγκη για την εξέλιξη της διαδικασίας της παραγωγής-εμφιάλωσης.
