Φυσικό και Τεχνητό φως αξιοποιούνται συνδυαστικά σε έναν χώρο, ωστόσο δίνεται περισσότερη έμφαση και ενδιαφέρον στον φυσικό φωτισμό και τις λειτουργίες του.
     Παρατηρώντας τα χρώματα και τις υφές που δημιουργεί ο τεχνητός φωτισμός σε έναν εκθεσιακό χώρο, δημιουργήθηκε η απορία πως σχετίζεται με τον φυσικό φωτισμό όντας έντονο στοιχείο της αρχιτεκτονικής και σε τι βαθμό πλέον με την αύξηση της τεχνολογίας θεωρείται σημαντικός. Επιπλέον, ο τεχνητός φωτισμός αποτελεί αναπόσπαστο μέρος των βασικών αξόνων σχεδιασμού ενός αρχιτεκτονήματος και ειδικά ενός χώρου που προβάλει εκθέματα και υποδέχεται καθημερινά επισκέπτες. Επομένως αναλύεται και εξετάζεται η σχέση συνύπαρξης του φυσικού με τον τεχνητό φωτισμό και η ανάδειξη της ιδιαιτερότητας του τεχνητού, μέσω κάποιων συνθετικών εργαλείων συγκεντρωμένων από έρευνες και γνωστά κτίρια μουσείων.
