πολυπλοκότητα και το χαώδες της πόλης, παρομοιάζοντας την πόλη ως κολάζ αστικών
θραυσμάτων και νοημάτων μέσα από αναλύσεις θεωρήσεων και έργων αρχιτεκτόνων με την πάροδο του χρόνου. Ακόμη, επιλέγεται η σημασία της τεχνικής αυτής, λόγω των δυνατοτήτων του κολάζ για την παραγωγή νοημάτων και νέων αφηγήσεων και ερμηνειών για την πόλη., στην πρώτη ενότητα, αναλύεται η τεχνική του κολάζ ως προς την αναπαράσταση της τέχνης αλλά και ως προς την ανάδειξη πληροφοριών, μεταφοράς μηνυμάτων στον δέκτη, με αποτέλεσμα να αποτελεί εναλλακτικό τρόπο μεθοδολογίας ανάγνωσης και σχεδίασης της πόλης. Επιπλέον, η ετερογένεια, που προσφέρει το κολάζ, παράγει μια έννοια, που δεν είναι σταθερή και εστιάζει στο στοιχείο της πολλαπλότητας και στη μη συγκεκριμενοποίηση ενός νοήματος, αλλά στη διπλή ανάγνωση. Στη δεύτερη ενότητα, η ανάλυση της πόλης κολάζ διερευνάται από δύο διαφορετικές οπτικές. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, εξετάζεται πρώτα η “πόλη - κολάζ” συνολικά και πώς αυτό μπορεί να αναγνωσθεί ως φόντο / “καμβάς”. Έπειτα, εξετάζονται χρονικά οι επιμέρους κατηγορίες των θραυσμάτων, που απαρτίζουν την “Πόλη - Κολάζ” και οι διαφορετικές θεωρήσεις και χειρισμοί αρχιτεκτόνων για τα θραύσματα αυτά.
