Διασαφηνίζει έννοιες γύρω από το αρχιτεκτονικό σκίτσο αναλύοντας το ως επικοινωνιακό και δημιουργικό εργαλείο. Καταγράφει τη συγκρότηση της αρχιτεκτονικής σκέψης μέσω των σκίτσων και των παραδειγμάτων σημαντικών αρχιτεκτόνων. Θα ακολουθήσουμε τις διαδρομές της σκέψης μέσω του σκίτσου καθώς ο αρχιτέκτονας προσπαθεί να βρει μορφές, σχέσεις και αναλογίες στο έργο του. Βασικό σημείο της μελέτης είναι πως η αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση, μια εξαιρετικά ευαίσθητη, πολύπλοκη και δυναμική διεργασία του ανθρώπινου νου μέσω του χεριού, μας αποκαλύπτεται σε ένα λευκό χαρτί. Τέλος,  ερευνάται ο τρόπος με τον οποίο το σκίτσο, ως εργαλείο καταγραφής, δημιουργίας και επικοινωνίας, μπορεί να παραμείνει κύριο μέσο στην αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση.
