Μια από τις τρεις μεθοδολογίες του SQC, στην οποία και επικεντρώνεται η συγκεκριμένη διπλωματική εργασία, είναι ο έλεγχος αποδοχής ή δειγματοληπτικά σχέδια (acceptance sampling). Σκοπός της μεθόδου αυτής είναι ο διαχωρισμός παρτίδων προϊόντων σε αποδεκτές και απορριπτέες, ανεξάρτητα από τις δράσεις ή ενέργειες βελτίωσης/επανόρθωσης που πραγματοποιούνται στη συνέχεια. Στην περίπτωση των απλών δειγματοληπτικών σχεδίων, ο σχεδιασμός των πλάνων μέσω των οποίων πραγματοποιείται η δειγματοληψία βασίζεται σε δύο παραμέτρους: στο μέγεθος δείγματος n και τον αριθμό αποδοχής c . Η επιλογή των παραμέτρων αυτών γίνεται με την χρήση στατιστικών ή οικονομικών κριτηρίων, όπως τα επίπεδα ποιότητας του παραγωγού   και καταναλωτή  , καθώς και τα αντίστοιχα ρίσκα του παραγωγού α και καταναλωτή β. Στην πράξη είναι αρκετά δύσκολο ή δεν έχει νόημα τόσο για τον παραγωγό, όσο και για τον καταναλωτή να καθορίσει με ακρίβεια τα κριτήρια αυτά, καθώς επηρεάζονται από μεταβλητούς οικονομικούς και τεχνολογικούς παράγοντες. Έτσι προκύπτει η ανάγκη για χαλάρωση των κριτήριών αυτών. Την ανάγκη αυτή έρχεται να καλύψει η ασαφής λογική. Στην παρούσα εργασία θα μελετηθεί και θα παρουσιαστεί ο τρόπος με τον οποίο η ασαφής λογική μπορεί να ενσωματωθεί στις παραδοσιακές μεθόδους δειγματοληψίας.
