Το Αμερικάνικο σύστημα ISO-Α διαφέρει σε βασικά στοιχεία σε σχέση με το Ευρωπαϊκό σύστημα ISO-E, όπως είναι η διάταξη των όψεων, οι μονάδες μέτρησης, κ.λπ. Μετά την καταγραφή των σχετικών κανονισμών θα γίνει μετατροπή πλήθους σχεδίων μηχανολογικών τεμαχίων και μηχανολογικών διατάξεων από το Ευρωπαϊκό Σύστημα ISO-E στο Αμερικάνικο ISO-A. 
Tα μηχανολογικά σχέδια που θα εκπονηθούν θα πραγματοποιηθούν στο λογισμικό Inventor της Autodesk το οποίο διατίθεται δωρεάν σε φοιτητές.
