This is a polyparametric problem that administration systems need to deal with in order to secure both theirexternal and internal borders. Due to its geographical location, Greece constitutes a gateway to the EU for a large number of illegal economic migrants and refugees whose final destination are, in the vast majority, Central and Northern European countries. Especially the last years, Greece was forced to deal with an influx of refugees and migrants situation that raises concerns on of the country’s ability to effectively secure its borders. The current work will focus on monitoring and evaluating the variables that are connected with migration flows and the associated border’s security. Furthermore, a multiparametric statistical tool will be developed for the correlation and estimation of these variables. The main aim is to reveal the factors that can be used for evaluating and monitoring migration flows and to implement, as an application, a pilot vulnerability assessment model concerning security border issues. Το φαινόμενο της παράτυπης μετανάστευσης αποτελεί μία πρόκληση για τις σημερινές κοινωνίες, καθώς επίσης κι ένα πρόβλημα πολυπαραμετρικό που καλούνται να αντιμετωπίσουν τα συστήματα διακυβέρνησης με στόχο την ασφάλεια τόσο των εσωτερικών όσο και εξωτερικών τους συνόρων. Η Ελλάδα λόγω της ιδιαίτερης γεωγραφικής της θέσης συνιστά πόλο έλξης παράτυπων μεταναστών, οι οποίοι την χρησιμοποιούν ως χώρα διέλευσης, προκειμένου να μεταβούν σε χώρες της Κεντρικής και Βόρειας Ευρώπης. Ιδιαίτερα τα τελευταία χρόνια παρατηρείται αύξηση των προσφυγικών ροών προς την Ελλάδα, θέτοντας σοβαρά ζητήματα που αφορούν στην ασφάλεια των συνόρων. Στην παρούσα εργασία θα καταγράψουμε και θα αξιολογήσουμε τις μεταβλητές εκείνες που αφορούν στο πρόβλημα της ασφάλειας των συνόρων προκαλούμενο από τις μεταναστευτικές ροές και θα αναπτύξουμε ένα πολυπαραμετρικό στατιστικό εργαλείο συσχέτισης τους.
