Αρχικά για την δημιουργία των δοκιμίων  χρησιμοποιήθηκαν έξι προηγμένα υλικά, συγκεκριμένα ABS, Carbon ABS, PETG, PETG/Carbon, PLA και Graphene PLA. Στην συνέχεια, τα δοκίμια υποβλήθηκαν σε θλιπτική καταπόνηση (Compression) και για την εύρεση του μέτρου ελαστικότητας και της στιβαρότητας των υλικών. Στην συνέχεια, πραγματοποιήθηκε δοκιμασία θλιπτικής φόρτισης αποφόρτισης (Cyclic Compression) για την εύρεση της απόσβεσης των προηγμένων υλικών. Επιπροσθέτως, πραγματοποιήθηκε δοκιμή νανοδιείσδυσης (nanoindentation) στα δοκίμια, με σκοπό την εύρεση του μέτρου ελαστικότητας, καθώς και της σκληρότητας κάθε υλικού. Επιπλέον, πραγματοποιήθηκε πείραμα ταλαντωτικής συμπεριφοράς (modal analysis) των δοκιμίων από το οποίο προέκυψαν οι ιδιοσυχνότητες, μέτρα ελαστικότητας, στιβαρότητες, μέτρα απόσβεσης κάθε δοκιμίου, με αποτέλεσμα την εύρεση του μέτρου ελαστικότητας και της απόσβεσης κάθε δοκιμίου.
