In this study, we present our results from (1) H2S measurements and odour analysis for the treatment of odorous gases escaping from several points of Chania WWTP and (2) oxidant (H2O2) addition to reduce significantly the odours at specific locations within the WWTP of Chania. For the short run, H2O2 introduction to the liquid phase provides immediate odour control.
