The analysis reveals the existence of four kinds of body waves, one shear and three compressional, which are characterized by dispersion and attenuation. A parametric numerical study leads to the conclusion that, for certain ranges of frequency, velocity and attenuation of the two‐porosity model exhibit considerable differences from their values for the single‐porosity model.
