Συγκεκριμένα πραγματοποιήθηκε φραιζάρισμα σε μέγεθος μίκρο-κλίμακας. Με τη χρήση ειδικών αισθητήρων μετρήθηκαν οι δυνάμεις και οι ταλαντώσεις που δημιουργούνται κατά την κατεργασία και έπειτα εξήχθησαν συμπεράσματα για τη σχέση των συνθηκών κοπής με τις δυνάμεις κοπής.
