The present study describes a Decision Support Software tool, which was developed to assist decision-makers to develop alternative waste management scenarios according to the targets to be achieved in case study regions, evaluate these scenarios against a predefined set of quantitative and qualitative criteria and, finally, support the competent authorities in deciding for the most appropriate waste management strategy to be applied.
