συμπεριφοράς των κυψελών καυσίμων (fuel cells) με την ανάπτυξη μοντέλων καθώς και στην καταγραφή και ανάλυση της λειτουργίας και της χρήσης των τύπων αυτών σε σύγχρονες εφαρμογές ενέργειας.
       Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο περιγράφονται αναλυτικά οι αρχές που διέπουν τη δομή,
τη λειτουργία και τα υποστηρικτικά μέσα των κυψελών καυσίμου. Ακολούθως
παρατίθενται τα πλεονεκτήματα της χρήσης τους ως ηλεκτροχημικές διατάξεις
παραγωγής καθαρής ενέργειας.
       Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζεται και ερμηνεύεται το μοντέλο προσομοίωσης κυψέλης μεμβράνης ανταλλαγής πρωτονίων (PEMFC)                 όπως αναπτύχθηκε στο λογισμικό Simulink του περιβάλλοντος Matlab.
       Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο συνάγoνται συμπεράσματα σύμφωνα με τα αποτελέσματα
των προσομοιώσεων σχετικά με την απόκριση του συστήματος της κυψέλης στη
μεταβατική κατάσταση και αλλά και σε μεταβολές του διασυνδεδεμένου φορτίου.
       Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο εξετάζεται η ικανότητα χρήσης του μοντέλου στα
πλαίσια εφαρμογής για την προσομοίωση λειτουργίας ηλεκτρικού οχήματος με τη
χρήση κυψελών καυσίμου.
