Στα μοντέλα αυτά παλινδρομούνται συγκεκριμένες χρηματοοικονομικές και μη χρηματοοικονομικές μεταβλητές και εξετάζεται η επίδραση που έχουν στην κερδοφορία των εταιρειών. 
Τα εμπειρικά αποτελέσματα που προκύπτουν παρουσιάζονται αναλυτικά, δίνοντας στον αναγνώστη την ευκαιρία να έχει μια πλήρη εικόνα για τον βαθμό που επιδρά η κάθε μεταβλητή.
