Πιο συγκεκριμένα, μελετάται το παράδειγμα της Υστερομινωικής νεκρόπολης στους Αρμένους Ρεθύμνου. 

Κάθε πολιτιστικό τοπίο είναι ένα δυναμικό σύστημα, όπου ο χώρος και ο χρόνος αποτελούν αναπόσπαστο σύνολο. Στα μνημεία ο χρόνος μετριέται σε φθορά, ενώ στη φύση σε κύκλους ζωής.
