Σήμερα χρησιμοποιείται ως χώρος στάθμευσης ενώ στο παρελθόν διετέλεσε τον τερματικό σταθμό μια μεγάλης εναέριας μεταλλικής κατασκευής, που κατασκευάστηκε από Ιταλούς μηχανικούς το 1923 και ξεκινούσε από το βουνό καταλήγοντας στην θάλασσα, μεταφέροντας βαγόνια με αμίαντο.

Στόχος της μελέτης είναι η κατασκευή μια σύγχρονης  ́ ́εναέριας ́ ́ μεταλλικής κατασκευής πολλαπλών χρήσεων, (καφετέριες, αίθουσες συνεδρίασης,βιβλιοθήκη κ.α) που θα καλύψει σημερινές ανάγκες της Λεμεσού, δίνοντας ένα νέο κτίριο τοπόσημο στο το παραλιακό μέτωπο.
