Αυτό αποτυπώνεται στην απουσία ενός μακροσκελούς οριζόντιου κατωφλιού συσχετιζόμενου με το νερό , καθώς και στην απουσία επιμέρους κάθετων συρραφών μεταξύ των διάσπαρτων μελών του ρευστού σώματός της. Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία επιχειρεί μία αστική επέμβαση κατά μήκος του παράκτιου μετώπου του κόλπου της Σούδας, με στόχο την καλύτερη διασύνδεση των υποπεριοχών της, καθώς και την ενεργοποίηση ενός αστικού περιπάτου ο οποίος θα διακλαδώνεται σε επιμέρους δημόσιους χώρους. Εστιάζοντας στην περιοχή που βρίσκεται ανάμεσα στην ακτογραμμή της Σούδας βόρεια και την οδό Πλωτάρχου Μαριδάκη νότια, επιχειρείται η δημιουργία συνδέσεων  ανάμεσα στη ζώνη επιφανειών διεπαφής με το νερό και την υπόλοιπη περιοχή στον άξονα βορρά - νότου, καθώς και η ενίσχυση του φυσικού στοιχείου στον άξονα ανατολής – δύσης μέσω της επέκτασης του προς το ανατολικό κομμάτι της περιοχής.
