Content SummaryThis paper presents a Quadratic Programming (QP) problem formulation, employing a modified multi-lane version of the well-known macroscopic Cell Transmission Model (CTM), to determine integrated optimal control actions for motorway networks. These include mainstream traffic flow control (MTFC), lane change control (LCC), ramp metering control (RM) and dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) actions to be applied by Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs). An algorithm based on the barrier method provides a fast solution of the convex QP problem. A case study, for a hypothetical motorway network with multiple destinations and routes, demonstrates the efficiency of the open-loop solutions.en
