The diploma thesis focuses on ergonomics in the production process, analyzing and controlling risks and hazards on production lines. The concept of ergonomics and its impact on the health of workers are examined, with an analysis of the causes and effects of musculoskeletal disorders due to incorrect body posture. Measures are presented to ensure efficiency and safety in the workplace.Subsequently, an analysis of ergonomics in the production process is conducted, introducing the concept of ergonomic compatibility. An example of workstation design at Silver Line company using the 5S Lean method is presented, identifying risks and proposing ergonomic solutions.Furthermore, various risk assessment methods are processed, such as OWAS, RULA, REBA, and the Moore-Garg index. Two case studies on ergonomics are presented, with the first focusing on the design of a workstation at Silver Line and the second including ergonomic analysis and evaluation of cash registers in supermarkets before and after their industrial redesign, as well as the ergonomic analysis of the Electrolux company. Finally, the significant conclusions of ergonomics in the production process are summarized, highlighting potential risks and hazards faced by production lines.
