The aim of this thesis is to experimentally investigate the effect of passive shunt circuits on the damping of oscillations in smart structures. The tests will be carried out on intelligent beam systems equipped with piezoelectric elements to which the electronic circuits are connected. The parameters will be guided by finite element solutions, information from literature and processing of experimental measurements.
