The recent research progress in several bridge related topics including maintenance, safety, management, and life-cycle sustainability has been presented and discussed at the Tenth International Conference on Bridge Maintenance, Safety and Management (IABMAS 2020), held virtually in Sapporo, Japan, April 11–15, 2021.IABMAS 2020 (http://www.f.waseda.jp/akiyama617/iabmas2020/index.html) has been organized on behalf of the International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS, http://www.iabmas.org) under the auspices of IABMAS Japan and Hokkaido University. The objective of IABMAS is to promote international cooperation in the fields of bridge maintenance, safety, management, life-cycle performance and cost for the purpose of enhancing the welfare of society.
