The present thesis aims at the linearization of a dynamic model of the operation of a polymeric ion exchange membrane fuel cell or PEM-FC. The linearization is obtained through appropriate mathematical equations which collectively define the model of the original non-linear model. Then, code is developed in the programming environment of the MATLAB software in order to represent the operation of the fuel cell using graphical representations. The verification of the results produced by the linear model is carried out after comparison with the counterparts of the dynamic non-linear model. Additionally, the state space model is transformed as well as the corresponding code, similar to the non-linear and linear before.
