Summary

This thesis aims at the development of public spaces in Soufli Evros , promoting community participation and improving the quality of life of the residents. The project includes the creation of an urban public park by restoring a stream and creating bridges to connect the park areas, as well as the restoration of two existing small squares in close proximity to the park. This project aims to transform these spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that offer the local community a wide range of needs and desires. The park design includes carefully landscaped green spaces, walking paths, seating areas and interactive installations that promote social interaction.In addition, the restoration of the two small squares complements the creation of the urban public park. The design includes flexible alternative seating positions, improved lighting and improved accessibility to ensure their usability during the day and night by all social groups. By preserving the historical and cultural significance of these squares while introducing contemporary design elements, the project creates spaces that bridge the past with the present, honoring the village's tradition while highlighting contemporary concerns.
