The purpose of this dissertation is (a) to investigate the beliefs of primary school teachers about the evaluation of their schools, (b) the extent to which reality meets expectations regarding the issue of evaluation and (c) the extent to which Greek primary schools cover three different dimensions of quality, namely that of the pedagogical and learning function, the administrative function and the educational development of the teachers. This purpose was met through a quantitative survey, in which 191 teachers of Greek primary education participated. Convenience and snowball sampling were followed to collect the research sample. Research data were collected electronically, and statistical analysis was done using SPSS. The results showed that the expectations of Greek primary education teachers for the evaluation of schools do not correspond to the prevailing reality in their schools. Also, it was proven that the three above-mentioned quality dimensions are covered to a moderate extent by Greek primary education schools. Among these three dimensions there is a positive and statistically significant correlation.
