Every living organism including humans are part of nature and must live in harmony in order to succeed in prosperity. In modern times, especially in cities there is a dramatic lack of nature due to housing and construction.This project examines the double benefits of nature in cities. The first being, humans improving mentally and physically and the second, seeking solutions to urban and environmental problems. The special characteristic of nature is that it can contribute to the decrease in the environmental burdens that come directly from human activity. Therefore, vegetation combines many principles of bioclimatic design, since it can provide thermal comfort, conservation of energy and fresh air.In order for man to reconnect directly to nature successfully we study integration of vertical planting in buildings as the best method to in-cooperate modern dense urban fabric. Vertical planting is capable of promoting sustainable buildings and cities. It also takes full advantage of the surface of the building with all the capabilities it can offer.We analyze vertical planting to comprehend its future capabilities. Through this quest, it is clear that this philosophy can proceed successfully in Greek cities which are adapted to the Mediterranean climate and also to its country’s capabilities.
