In this thesis, a web application which is capable of calculating the energy consumption of a fleet of electric vehicles is developed. This web app is capable of gathering data for each trip that the EVs complete and calculate the distance that they traverse in each trip through Google Maps, this will allow our web application to process that data and predict with accuracy the load on the grid of either an individual with his EV or a fleet of EVs. In order to simulate a realistic behavior of a fleet of EVs we have used the data from the National Household Travel Survey (https://nhts.ornl.gov/). With this data base as a basis we have the probability density for the usage of EVs on their departure times, type of trip (work, pleasure etc.) as well as their idle time.
