Summary

In this diploma thesis, a real-time model the loading-hauling-dumping cycle of a large production surface lignite mine was constructed. The simulation examines the effect of the loading time standard deviation of the excavator on the loading-hauling-dumping cycle of a heavy duty truck in order to clarify whether this time is a critical parameter for the variance of the annual production of a mine. For the creation of the model a case study of 2.600.000 m3 lignite annual production surface mine and one excavator of type LIEBHERR R9350 20 m3 and three trucks of type Komatsu HD785-7 150 t, is considered. With the implementation of the Monte Carlo stochastic process in the loading times of the excavator it becomes possible to simulate the production in real conditions taking into account parameters such as the operator's ability, the condition of the machine and the variation in the hardness of the extraction material. In the model are imported all the technical characteristics of the machinery (load-drop times, speeds, transport capacity) as described by the manufacturer. The model is developed with the help of Matlab programming language. For the export of sufficient statistical results, the model exports production data of one thousand cycles. The simulation runs once with the Monte Carlo method and once with fixed loading times to compare the results of the total annual production in each case and draw the necessary conclusions in correlation with the results of the model with fixed loading time.
