Summary

In Smart Grids the design of a common managementplatform that integrates and coordinates grid protection andbusiness services such as commercial supply-demand matching,is clearly one of the challenges ahead. The work presented in thispaper provides a framework of knowledge managementmechanisms in order to support a Smart Grid. We present thedesign and implementation of a platform that supports theknowledge management needs for applications such as powersystem operations and power system reliability in the Smart Gridenvironment. Both applications are modeled on the same serviceoriented platform
