Content Summary | A medium access control (MAC) protocol for integrating voice, videoconferencing and email data packet traffic in a high capacity wireless channel while at the same time ensuring the high priority of video and voice is presented and investigated. By combining our past and new scheduling ideas with an idea recently introduced in the literature, the results of our formerly published work are significantly improved. We evaluate, via simulations and comparisons with other protocols in the recent literature, the performance of the protocol and we focus on the impact of different types and loads of data traffic on the system performance. | en |
