In this paper we present a model which supports an agent (the agent decision maker) to allocate a specific task to an agent or a set of cooperating agents by using a consistent set of criteria. The model, which is composed by this consistent set of criteria, utilizes the multi-agent system user’s preferences and assesses a ranking order of the candidate agents. The candidate agents can alter their position in the ranking order by making offers and counter offers.
