The objective of this study was to achieve thebest estimation of the spatial distribution ofCaO/MgO oxides in the Kamari quarry (Greece)owned by Titan Cement Co., by using anintegrated geological-geostatistical analysis. This study would lead to a methodology thatmay be used as a decision making tool for theoptimum design of a future core drillingexploration programme. A comprehensiveaccount on the progress of the work carried outup to day is given in this paper.Recommendations on the exploration strategyand a future drilling program in the studiedlimestone quarry area are also proposed. It isremarked here that the proposed methodologymay be easily applied to other engineeringapplications, such as geotechnical engineeringand marble ore reserve estimation and quarryingdesign
