In this framework, a concurrent multi-level analy- sis between a continuous macro model and a dis- crete RVE, is considered. The macro model is a con- tinuous rectangular body, consisting of rectangu- lar plane stress elements. In each integration point of the macro model, a discrete micro model is ac- counted for. The micro model, consists of two or more discrete bodies in contact. For the solution of the contact problem an Augmented Lagrangian technique is used [2], for the simplest case of a node to node discretization of the contacting bod- ies, while friction is omitted.
