Content Summary	Τα τελευταία χρόνια ο τομέας της κινητής τηλεφωνίας έχει παρουσιάσει τρομερή εξέλιξη και αποτελεί πλέον σημαντικό κομμάτι της καθημερινής ζωής του ανθρώπου. Παράλληλα το μεγάλο πρόβλημα της ενέργειας και το ξέσπασμα της οικονομικής κρίσης σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα, έχουν οδηγήσει στην ανάπτυξη συστημάτων εξοικονόμησης και διαχείρισης ενέργειας, κυρίως στον τομέα των κτιριακών εγκαταστάσεων. Η παρούσα εργασία πραγματεύεται την δημιουργία μίας εφαρμογής σε πλατφόρμα κινητού τηλεφώνου iPhone (iOS), μέσω της οποίας πραγματοποιείται η εποπτεία και ο έλεγχος ενός Συστήματος Ενεργειακού Ελέγχου Κτιρίων, Building Energy Management System (BEMS). Συγκεκριμένα, αναπτύχθηκε για το κτίριο Τεχνικών Υπηρεσιών του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης, στα πλαίσια του ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος PEBBLE. Η ανάπτυξη της εφαρμογής περιλαμβάνει και την υλοποίηση ενός server, ο οποίος επιτρέπει την επικοινωνία της εφαρμογής με τις βάσεις δεδομένων. Σε αυτές διατηρούνται όλα τα δεδομένα σχετικά με τους αισθητήρες και τους ενεργοποιητές που έχουν εγκατασταθεί στο συγκεκριμένο κτίριο. Πρόκειται για έναν web server που ακολουθεί το πρωτόκολλο REST και είναι υλοποιημένος σε γλώσσα προγραμματισμού PHP. Αναλύονται οι τεχνολογίες που χρησιμοποιήθηκαν καθώς και η αρχιτεκτονική της εφαρμογής και του server. Επίσης, περιγράφονται οι λειτουργίες και οι δυνατότητες που παρέχει σε κάθε χρήστη. Τέλος, ο σχεδιασμός της εφαρμογής έγινε με κριτήριο την ευελιξία, ώστε να έχει την δυνατότητα προσαρμογής και σε άλλα συστήματα ή κτίρια μελλοντικά, στοχεύοντας ουσιαστικά στην αξιολόγηση και κατόπιν βελτιστοποίηση των συστημάτων διαχείρισης ενέργειας κτιρίων (BEMS).	el
Content Summary	The last few years, cell phones have shown tremendous progress and have become an important part of everyday human life. In addition, the big energy problem and the outbreak of the financial crisis worldwide have as a result the development of systems for management and saving energy, especially on buildings. This thesis develops a mobile application in iPhone (iOS), through which the monitoring and control of a Building Energy Management System (BEMS) is performed. Specifically the application was developed for the Technical Services (maintenance support) building of TUC, as part of the European energy program PEBBLE. The development of the application includes the implementation of one server, which allows communication between the application and the databases. These databases maintain all the data of sensors and actuators that are established in the building. The server follows the REST protocol and is written in PHP. It’s about a REST PHP web server. The architecture and technologies of the application and server are being analyzed. In addition, the functionalities and capabilities that the application provides, are described in detail. Finally, the application’s design was made in the light of flexibility, in order to be adapted to other systems or buildings in the future, aiming to the essential evaluation and then optimization of the Building Energy Management Systems, BEMS.	en
