Many publishers reprint books in small quantities to meet demand. Given the continuously increasing customer requirements and financial constraints, it is important to plan the number of reprints to avoid shortages while also keeping inventory levels low. This master's thesis focuses on planning book releases for a domestic publishing house. A large share of sales consists of books for students, distributed through the "Eudoxus" system, as well as through online bookstores and physical shops. The reprint scheduling is based on demand forecasts from data provided by the publisher, considering current inventory levels and returns. In this study, various forecasting methods are compared, aiming to minimize a function of forecasting errors. From this comparison, the best models for each book title will be selected, and their forecasts will be used to generate reprint orders based on current stock levels.
