The integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles into business strategy represents a critical challenge and opportunity for modern companies. This dissertation examines how businesses adopt and implement sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate governance principles in their strategic decisions. Starting with an analysis of the historical evolution of ESG, it explores its role in business practices and its gradual incorporation, especially under the growing pressures from regulatory bodies, investors, and consumers. The study focuses on examples from various sectors, such as banking, energy, and technology, where ESG has a significant impact. It examines successful practices of companies that have integrated ESG, highlighting benefits such as improved reputation, access to financing, and risk reduction. At the same time, it investigates the challenges businesses face, such as implementation costs and the complexity of measurements. The research concludes that integrating ESG is not just a trend but an essential factor for the sustainability and competitiveness of businesses in the 21st century.
