This paper examines the design and implementation of an advanced water metering system aimed at accurate and reliable recording of water consumption measurements. The requirements analysis covers both functional and non-functional aspects of the system. The functional requirements include the need for precise detection of measurements, secure user connections, and real-time monitoring capabilities. Additionally, the system's ability to perform measurements in offline mode with automatic data transfer upon reconnection is explored. In the area of non-functional requirements, emphasis is placed on data security through encrypted communications and authentication via unique keys. The user interface should be clear and user-friendly, while the system should be compatible with various mobile phone platforms. This research paves the way for the development of advanced water metering systems that meet high performance and security standards.
