Content SummaryΣτόχο της παρούσας διπλωματικής εργασίας αποτελεί η δημιουργία ενιαίου κυκλοφοριακού και πολεοδομικού σχεδίου μάκρο- και μίκρο- κλίμακας για το ιστορικό της κέντρο με βασικό εργαλείο την βιώσιμης αστική κινητικότητα. Για την επίτευξη αυτού του στόχου, πραγματοποιείται αρχικά η αναγνώριση και ανάλυση των κυκλοφοριακών ζητημάτων που επηρεάζουν το κέντρο της πόλης. Στη συνέχεια, προτείνονται στοχευμένες παρεμβάσεις και εξειδικεύσεις επί του ήδη υφιστάμενου Σχεδίου Βιώσιμης Αστικής Κινητικότητας (ΣΒΑΚ) του Δήμου Αθηναίων. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, περιλαμβάνονται προτάσεις αξιοποίησης ανεκμετάλλευτων χώρων στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, καθώς και σχεδιασμός νέων και η τόνωση υφιστάμενων διαδρομών, βασισμένων στις αρχές της βιώσιμης κινητικότητας. Βασικό μέλημα της προσέγγισης αποτελεί η ενίσχυση και ο επαναπροσδιορισμός της εμπειρίας πεζής μετακίνησης στο ιστορικό κέντρο της Αθήνας.el
Content SummaryThe objective of this thesis is the development of a unified macro- and micro-scale traffic and urban planning framework for the historic center of Athens, using sustainable urban mobility as the primary tool. To achieve this goal, the study begins with the identification and analysis of the traffic-related issues affecting the city center. Subsequently, targeted interventions and refinements are proposed in relation to the existing Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) of the Municipality of Athens. Within this context, the study includes proposals for the utilization of underused spaces in the city center, as well as the design of new routes and the enhancement of existing ones, based on the principles of sustainable mobility. A core concern of this approach is to reinforce and redefine the pedestrian experience within the historic core.en
