Summary

This diploma thesis proposes the design of a Formula 1-standard racetrack in Megara, Attica, with a strong ecological orientation. The project responds to the current shift in motorsports towards sustainable practices, utilizing environmentally conscious materials and design strategies. Particular emphasis is placed on landscape integration, the spatial arrangement of spectator areas, and the inclusion of year-round activities that extend the track’s functionality beyond racing events. The proposal seeks to highlight the dynamic coexistence of speed and environmental sensitivity, suggesting a new architectural model for racetrack design—one where high-performance experiences are interwoven with ecological awareness.
