This research paper explores the relationship between dance and architecture, with a focus on human movement. The collection of research material was based on a bibliographic review. During the research process, several questions arose regarding the role of human movement not only in architectural design but also in the way it influences our perception and experience of space. Dance and architecture share common concepts such as rhythm, stability, and most importantly, movement in space. Every individual, whether as the creator or the observer of a creation, has the ability to interpret space and dance in a unique way, as the most effective way of understanding both, is through experimental engagement. Through the analysis of selected case studies that examine the interaction between these two disciplines, this papers aims to highlight the significance of the surrounding environment in the interpretation of dance and conversely, how dance - and therefore human movement- can change our visual and sensory perception of the space around us.
