| Content Summary | Η μετάβαση σε αυξημένη χρήση του υγροποιημένου φυσικού αερίου γνωστού και ως LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) αποτελεί μια μεγάλη πρόκληση στις μέρες μας καθώς δύναται να αντικαταστήσει κάποια από τα ορυκτά καύσιμα που χρησιμοποιούνται σε μεγάλο βαθμό. Στην συγκεκριμένη εργασία, αρχικά γίνεται μια εισαγωγή στο LNG, αναλύονται τα σημερινά οικονομικά στοιχεία του και πως αυτό σήμερα επηρεάζει τους τομείς της οικονομίας καθώς επίσης μελετάται η επίδραση του στο περιβάλλον βασισμένη στα σημερινά δεδομένα. Όλα τα παραπάνω παρατίθενται και αναλύονται αντίστοιχα και για το μέλλον. Ο σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι, με βάση την παραπάνω ανάλυση, να ληφθούν υπόψη σχετικοί προβληματισμοί και να γίνει εκτίμηση των πλεονεκτημάτων σε αντιδιαστολή με τα μειονεκτήματα που προκύπτουν από την χρήση του υγροποιημένου φυσικού αερίου σε βάθος χρόνου ώστε να προσδιοριστεί με ποιο τρόπο και σε ποιο βαθμό θα προχωρήσει ομαλά η όποια απεξάρτηση της Ευρώπης. Η μελέτη μας βρίσκει ότι η αυξημένη χρήση του LNG μπορεί να προσφέρει κάποια πλεονεκτήματα σε σχέση με άλλες πηγές ενέργειας που χρησιμοποιούνται, όμως ταυτόχρονα αναπτύσσονται και επιφυλάξεις σχετικά με κάποιες αρνητικές επιπτώσεις που μπορεί να έχει η απεξάρτηση της Ευρώπης και που θα πρέπει να ληφθούν υπόψη. Όλο και περισσότερες είναι οι χώρες της Ευρώπης που προσπαθούν να αυξήσουν την χρήση του υγροποιημένου φυσικού αερίου στις μέρες μας στους τομείς της κατοικίας, του εμπορίου και της βιομηχανίας, αλλά και να προσδιορίσουν ασφαλείς και σωστούς τρόπους διαχείρισης του. Τέλος, παρουσιάζονται επενδυτικές ευκαιρίες που προκύπτουν από την εκμετάλλευση του LNG ως συνιστώσες της απεξάρτησης της Ευρώπης από άλλα καύσιμα. | el |
| Content Summary | The transition to an increasing use of Liquified Natural Gas, known as LNG, constitutes a significant challenge nowadays, as it has the potential to replace some fossil fuels that are widely used. This paper firstly introduces the reader to LNG. Additionally, it presents an analysis of its current financial data and its effects on the sectors of the economy and the environment, based on today's information. All the above are also examined and analysed having the future in mind. The purpose of this work is, based on the above analysis, to portray the concerns and make estimations based on the advantages and the disadvantages that arise from the use of liquified natural gas over time. It aims to determine how and to what extent the potential transition of Europe will proceed seamlessly. Our research shows that an increasing use of LNG could have some benefits regarded other energy sources that are being used, but at the same time, there is speculation about some negative consequences that may arise from the independence of Europe and should be taken into consideration. It is a fact that many European countries are making an effort to increase the use of liquified natural gas (LNG) in various sectors (ie. residential, commercial, industrial). They are also working to identify safe and proper methods for its management. Finally, the investment opportunities that arise from the usage of LNG are presented as components of Europe's efforts to reduce its dependence on other fuels. | en |
