This thesis describes the methodology for developing a Formula Student (FS) vehicle based on Systems Engineering principles. It showcases a condensed version of an automotive Development Process focused on Vehicle Dynamics and Suspension Design. It highlights key vehicle Goals, System, and subsystem level Requirements in the form of vehicle attributes and finally the Verification and Validation method. The intent is to offer a compass for teams and individuals building vehicles prototypes (not limited to FS vehicles), where the tools and methods are not production ready and are on tight resource constraints (financial and time) as we normally see in FS competitions. The project responsible should create the functional requirements and verification methods, in combination with the rest of the team members.
