Due to the intense tourist activity and density of the old town during the summer months, an interactive route was designed as an effort to alleviate this, using mixed reality. Through the narration and attempt to solve a murder, players are guided by Niolos on a walk through Nea Chora. Players are tasked with solving riddles, finding keys, and uncovering the mysteries of the houses by following the clues provided to them, while also learning how and why Niolos was killed. The story takes place in the early 20th century, and for this purpose, ruined houses were redesigned as escape rooms, spaces of significant historical importance in the city, as well as modernized areas, all with the help of mixed reality. Thus, visitors have the opportunity to explore the area, discover new and old points of interest, and enjoy themselves while learning.
