Summary

This dissertation focuses on the design and implementation of multimodal furniture to demonstrate three key ephemeral uses of space. This study examines how the appropriate use of furniture can contribute to the creation of dynamic and multifunctional spaces that can be adapted to different uses. This multifunctional furniture is characterised by its flexibility and adaptability, allowing the space to change rapidly according to the needs of the moment.First, some basic concepts such as flexibility, ephemeral spaces, modularity are analysed and the necessity for polymorphic furniture in the modern world is mentioned. This is followed by a description of the furniture design process, from the initial concept and first drawings to the final implementation. The project then focuses on the practical application of the furniture in a specific multi-space, analysing the following three ephemeral uses: an exhibition space, a workspace and an event space.The aim of the paper is to show that multifunctional furniture can enhance the flexibility and efficiency of the space, offering solutions that can be quickly and easily adapted to the changing conditions of the users.
