To what extent is the integration of an artistic work on an architectural scale important? How can architects and artists collaborate to create spaces intertwined with human experience and cultural evolution? The integration of an artistic work on an architectural scale is a phenomenon under constant scrutiny, mainly regarding its results. This study initially explores the history and use of stained glass, a form of art that transcends the boundaries of both worlds, offering an impressive outcome. Subsequently, the main part of the study, through research and analysis of the work and lives of artists Brian Clarke and Meropi Preka, artists who utilize the art of stained glass to highlight a new way of thinking about the collaboration of the two fields, demonstrates that the impact of an artwork in an architectural context, whether public or private, is directly intertwined with the social structure, simultaneously shaping the cultural identity of a place. The research and the process of inquiry are further enhanced through a conversation with the artist Meropi Preka herself, who highlights her perspective on the art of stained glass and the significance of art in society, thereby enriching the understanding of the subject.
